Stuff a backpack and get your family into the Columbus Zoo for $4

It's getting close! As we here at NBC 4 have teamed up to Stuff The Backpack for Columbus City School Students.

Our goal is to provide a backpack filled with school supplies to each of the nearly 52,000 students in the Columbus City School District. We can't do that without your help. As an incentive Wednesday you can get a great deal at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

So here's what you need to do to get this huge deal at the Columbus Zoo Wednesday. Buy a new backpack and fill it with school supplies like markers, crayons, loose leaf paper and pens. Bring it to the zoo tomorrow and get your family in for a total of $4.

Your donation of a backpack with school supplies is honestly so important. This is going to give students a foot forward to help them succeed and also prevent many teachers from reaching into their own pockets to buy supplies for children who don't come to school with all the necessities to start the school year.

Calculators, tissues, highlighters, scissors, rulers, glue sticks, #2 pencils can all be placed inside a new backpack, zipped up and ready to go for a student.

Our goal is to help stuff 52,000 backpacks!

General admission at the zoo costs $19 dollars and kids 3-9 are $14 along with seniors. When you bring this backpack to the zoo tomorrow - you and a family of up to 6 people will cost just $4 total!

That's a whole fun day at a great zoo for a much lower price. Of course, you can drop off more than one backpack if you choose to do so.

The zoo opens up at 9am Wednesday. Just look for the red NBC4 Tent and Flags at the main Columbus Zoo & Aquarium entrance before the ticket offices. That's where you hand over your filled backpack and get your voucher for $4 entry.
