Storm leaves scattered damage and power outages across central Ohio

Local News

(WCMH) – Strong thunderstorms moved through central Ohio Thursday, leaving behind damage and power outages.

AEP Ohio reported more than 1,700 people without power Thursday night. Those were scattered across the area and could mostly be attributed to the storm.

In Fayette County, a tractor trailer overturned on U.S. 35 around the time a tornado warning was issued in the area.

The storm left power lines down in some areas, including along Hayden Run Road in Dublin and State Route 56 in Madison County.

In Mount Sterling, strong winds damaged a popular restaurant, nearly sending pieces of the building’s façade down on a delivery driver.

There were no reports of injuries.
