Silver Alert cancelled; Columbus Police report man has been found

UPDATE: Columbus Police report the man has been found.

According to Columbus Police, James Moorehead Jr. was found by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department at 2:47am. Moorehead was involved in a minor car accident with no injuries. He has been reunited with family members.

Columbus Police have issued a Silver Alert for a man last seen at Grant Hospital.

Police say that the high risk missing adult, James Moorehead Jr., was last seen on Monday, October 29 at 4pm when he dropped off a family member at Grant Hospital.

Police report that it is possible that Moorehead has Alzheimers or Dementia but there has been no official diagnosis.

Moorehead is described as a 84 year old black male with grey hair and brown eyes. He is 5’10, 200 pounds. 

He was last seen driving a silver 2007 Mercury Milan, with Ohio tags HEJ1936.

Anyone with information about the location of James Moorehead Jr. is asked to call the Columbus Police at 614-645-4545.
