Man dies after shooting in South Linden neighborhood

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A 26-year-old man has died after a shooting in the South Linden neighborhood Friday night.

The shooting occurred around 10:05 p.m. at 1053 Rosewind Dr. in Columbus.

Kevin Darnell Constant Jr. was found lying on the sidewalk outside of the residence suffering from a gunshot wound.

Constant was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition but was pronounced dead at the hospital at 11:32 p.m.

The initial stages of the investigation have been unable to uncover any motive or suspects at this time.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing.

This is the 85th homicide in Columbus in 2019.
