COSHOCTON CO., OH (WCMH) — The search continued in Coshocton County Tuesday for a 15-year-old boy reported missing over the weekend.

Samuel Walters was reported missing early Saturday morning in the area of County Road 495. Walters is believed to have been at a pond in the area.

Officials focused their search Tuesday in and around the pond. Volunteers have been searching in the surrounding areas.

Volunteer Tammy Jones says residents have been coming out to search every day.  “I still have hope but with every hour it kind of dwindles,” Jones said. “We’ve been in thick weeds. We’ve been in thick woods. Screaming, yelling.”

Jones says Walters is believed to have been with at least two other teenagers at the pond.

The sheriff’s office said a fisherman was also believed to have been at the same location and may have information helpful for the investigation and urged the unknown person to contact detectives.

Many here believe there was foul play. That theory is supported, they say, by videos that surfaced on social media that appear to show Walters in an argument with the other teenagers.

It’s believed investigators have identified and interviewed the other boys in the videos.

Walters is approximately 5’7″ and 118 pounds with blonde hair and green eyes. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (740) 622-2411.
