Road rage incident leads to Columbus homicide

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A road rage incident turned deadly Monday morning on Interstate 70.

According to Columbus police, two cars were traveling on I-70 near State Route 315 when the drivers got into a confrontation. 

Both drivers got off at the Miller-Kelton exit and went south on Miller Avenue. Just north of Columbus Street, a suspect in a black SUV fired shots into the other car.

Police say 24-year-old Taquan Sprinkle was hit by gunfire and later died.

According to police, the driver of the SUV hit several other cars before crashing into a pole.
