Road crews switch from snow removal to pothole repair

Local News

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Road crews throughout central Ohio are switching gears for a little while, going from removing snow to patching potholes.

The extreme temperature change is melting snow and revealing potholes caused by expanding ice.

“The ground is doing what Mother Nature has it do going from expanding and contracting, and it’s hard on highways,” said Ohio Department of Transporation tech Doc Workman.

ODOT Crews are working around the clock to patch those potholes.
