Raccoon breaks into police station, outsmarts pursuing officers for nine hours

(NBC NEWS) – A ‘masked bandit’ broke into a Texas police station earlier this week, leading officers on an hours-long pursuit.

A raccoon fell through the ceiling of the Bedford Police Department late Sunday night. Surveillance video shoes several officers chasing the critter throughout the building.  Officers were clinging to nets as they tried to close in on the raccoon.

After nine long hours, the cops captured the animal and released it in a park.
