Tuesday, Dublin Police released records about the crash that happened Friday night on the 5400 block of Muirfield Court.

An incident report says a black BMW driven by David Crawford crashed, injuring professional golfer Bud Cauley, former Blue Jackets player James Wisniewski, and Thomas Nichols.

According to the incident report:

Unit #1 was northbound Muirfield Ct in front of 5420 Muirfield Ct. when the vehicle ran off the roadway to the right. It then struck two smaller trees, crossed the driveway at 5444 Muirfield Ct., struck another small tree before coming to final rest in the ditch just north of the driveway for 5444 Muirfield Ct.

Calls to 911 from neighbors and the car’s roadside assistance service alerted police to the crash.

“I’m not in it, I’m a neighbor. I just heard about it and came and got over here. It’s a BMW and it’s like four people inside and they are all hurt and they need help right away,” a neighbor told a police dispatcher.

Bud Cauley posted a note to Instagram Monday, calling the crash the ‘scariest night of my life.’

According to Dublin police, charges are pending, but nothing has been filed at this point. The cause of the crash is not clear.
