Procession, funeral arrangements set for soldier from Lancaster

LANCASTER, Ohio (WCMH) — Funeral and memorial procession arrangements are set for Joey Collette, an Army specialist who was killed in Afghanistan.

According to Lancaster Mayor David Scheffler, Collette will arrive at Rickenbacker Airport around 9:40am, Wednesday. A procession will take his body down U.S. Route 33 to Memorial Drive, east on Main Street, north on Broad Street, west on Wheeling Street and north on Columbus Street to the Frank Smith Funeral Home.

Scheffler said many citizens and organizations plan to line the streets to welcome Joey home.

Collette’s funeral will take place 10:30 a.m. at Faith Memorial Church on West Fair Avenue.
