Portion of I-71 south briefly shut down after Columbus police officer injured in crash

A Columbus Police officer is in stable condition at Grant Medical Center after being involved in a crash Thursday afternoon that shut down a portion of Interstate 71 south. 

Officials shut down I-71 south between Interstate 70 and Route 104 after the crash occurred at about 4:37 p.m. Thursday, police said.

Crews are on scene working to get a lane open, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
