Two people were transported to Grant Medical Center after a multi-vehicle crash involving five vehicles shut down Interstate 270 at U.S 23 for about two hours on Friday during rush hour.
The crash, which occurred just before 4 p.m., shut down I-270 westbound between U.S 23 and I-71 until about 6 p.m.
All lanes on I-270 west are now open, according to the Ohio Department of Transportation.
U.S. 23 remains closed in both directions between Obetz Road and Rathmell Road, according to ODOT.
The crash occurred when a blue van was traveling westbound at a normal rate of speed and struck three stationary vehicles.
It is unknown why the vehicles were stationary, officials said.
The fifth vehicle involved in the collision was unable to avoid the crash and crashed into the other vehicles, officials said.
