A woman was arrested after they say she admitted to setting her ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend’s vehicle on fire.

The Charleston Police Department says, Alice Caudill, 50, of Charleston, was charged with 3rd-degree arson through Kanawha County Magistrate Court.

Charleston Police officers responded to the 2200 block of Washington Street West around 2am on Oct. 9, for a vehicle fire.

The man who called told police his ex-girlfriend, Caudill, had set his current girlfriend’s vehicle on fire.

Caudill was not on scene when officers arrived, but they obtained witness statements that Caudill was seen in the area of the vehicle just before the vehicle was set on fire.

When officers located Caudill she admitted to placing a pillow under the rear of the vehicle and setting the pillow on fire.  The vehicle sustained damage from the rear to the middle.

She is currently being held at South Central Regional Jail.
