Police: Victim shot during social media transaction in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person is in critical condition after a shooting in northeast Columbus. 

According to Columbus Police, at about 9:38pm, Wednesday, officers were called to the area of 21st and Ontario streets on the report of a shooting. 

When officers arrived on scene they found Kyle Haseley, 25, suffering from a gunshot wound.

Haseley was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Police say Haseley had come to the area to meet a seller from a social media sales site to purchase merchandise. Witnesses told officers that the suspect took money from Haseley after the shooting.
