Police: Three Whitehall students arrested for shooting pellet gun near high school football field

WHITEHALL, OH (WCMH) — Whitehall Police say three students were arrested Thursday after firing a pellet gun near the Whitehall-Yearling High School football field.

Police say the students were firing the gun around 9:30am, possibly at the school groundskeeper.

They jumped into a car and took off, but returned within an hour and were arrested, police say.

The school was placed on a precautionary lockdown.
