Police searching for missing Ohio woman with dementia

CLEVELAND (WKYC)–The Avon Lake Police Department has issued a statewide missing adult alert for an 83-year-old woman who has not been seen since Sunday afternoon.

Authorities say Yvonne Sanker drove away from her home on Bounty Way around 3 p.m. on Sunday and did not arrive at her intended destination. She is believed to be driving a black 2007 Mercedes-Benz C280 with an Ohio license plate number of HBH4554, much like the one pictured below.

Sanker is described as being 5-foot-3 and weighing 135 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Additionally, officials say she suffers from dementia and may be confused.

Anyone with information regarding Sanker’s whereabouts is asked to immediately call 911.
