Police: Pedestrian killed in hit and run in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus Police are investigating after a pedestrian was killed in a hit and run in northeast Columbus.

According to dispatchers with the Columbus Division of Police, officers were called to the area of Cleveland Avenue and Ferris Road just after 7 p.m. on a report of a pedestrian struck. When officers arrived, they found one person who had been hit by at least one car. Dispatchers say the victim was pronounced dead and that the suspect vehicle fled the scene.

Investigators have not released information regarding a description of the vehicle involved. No further information was immediately available.
