Police: OSU student sexually assaulted, robbed by intruder at University Village

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Columbus Division of Police is investigating a rape that happened Friday morning at University Village Apartments.

Police say a woman called them and said around 6am, an intruder came into her room and sexually assaulted her inside her apartment. The woman also reports the suspect robbed her. 

She was hospitalized for treatment. The suspect is described as a man between 5’7″ and 5’9″ with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black jacket and blue jeans, and was clean-shaven.

The Columbus Police Special Victims Bureau is handling the investigation and encourages anyone with information to call (614) 645-4266 with any tips or leads.
