COLUMBUS (WCMH) – For the second year, an anonymous donor asked Columbus police officers to help brighten the holidays for some unsuspecting people.
Columbus officers handed out Christmas cards containing $100 bills to several people.
A video released by CPD shows officers handing the cards to several people, including a single mom caring for her kids and a single dad who was displaced by a fire.
“I’m a little nervous and shaky,” said one recipient as she opened an envelope.
This is the second year in a row the donor has given CPD $100 bills to pass around. In 2017, the donor said he wants to, “open eyes & hearts to the good police officers set out to do every day in every community.”
