COLUMBUS (WCMH) – A carjacking leads to a high-speed chase on the east side of Columbus.
Police say the suspect stole a Maserati at gunpoint near the 30 block of North Waverly Street around 4:30 p.m.
When police tried to apprehend the suspect, they fled the scene in the stolen vehicle eventually leading police on a high-speed chase.
The vehicle was recovered by officers a short time later less than three miles from where it was taken.
There is no suspect information at this time as police continue to investigate the incident.
