Police: Neighbor dispute led to deadly west Columbus shooting

Local News

One person was killed Wednesday after shots were fired on the west side of Columbus.

It happened around 2:31pm Wednesday on Westmoor Court. Columbus police dispatchers say it was originally called out as a self-defense shooting.

According to police, the shooting victim was found dead in the street.

Investigators say the shooting was the result of an ongoing neighborhood dispute.

Joshua S. Ferrell, 30, was arrested and charged with murder.

Neighbors were brought to tears over what happened.

“This is a neighborhood with kids. My mom walks the dogs that way. These kids come out and play every day. It’s just sad,” said Lori Cremeans.
