COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A man found dead in a west Columbus apartment is being ruled a homicide by police.
Columbus police were called out to an apartment complex at 2021 W. Broad St at about 3:40pm on Saturday for a wellness check on a resident. The call came from a concerned neighbor.
Police entered the building and found a man unresponsive. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim is a black male, but police have not identified him any further. Police also said there are no known suspects or motives at this time.
This is the 26th homicide of 2018.
