The body of a woman was found this morning in Burbank Park, Upper Arlington, by a walker who noticed a fire in the bushes.
Upper Arlington Fire Division responded to the concerned call, and put out the fire at about 8.40am, on October 14. At the same time, they found the body of a dead woman, according to a police statement by Upper Arlington Police Division.
A woman out for a walk reported the fire, and then noticed what looked like a mannequin, according to 911 records.
“The Upper Arlington Fire Division extinguished the fire and found the body of a deceased female,” said police in a press statement. “The Upper Arlington Police Division is investigating the death, along with assistance from the Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI).
“Police re-opened the park at 3:00 PM today and stated there is not any immediate threat to residents.”
The Police Division is requesting help from the public. If anyone has information about a missing Caucasian female between the ages of eighteen and thirty or any information related to this incident, please contact the Upper Arlington Police Division at (614) 583-5160, the release concluded.
