Police: Increase of car theft in Grove City area

GROVE CITY, Ohio (WCMH) – Police have reported an increase of stolen cars in the Grove City area.

Cars with ‘push to start’ are especially at risk according to police. Investigators said these cars can operate if the key-fob is relatively close.

Police want residents to consider these tips:

  • Avoid letting your car warm up unattended;
  • Be aware of your surroundings when entering or exiting your vehicle;
  • Lock your car when you enter a store;
  • Do not leave the keys in any unattended vehicle.
