Police identify man fatally struck by vehicle in southeast Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus police are investigating after a man was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday night.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 8:46pm, Tuesday, officers were called to the area of Refugee Road and Weyburn Road on the report of a pedestrian struck. 

Police say Kenneth Pittman, 63, was walking eastbound in the lane of travel on Refugee Road when he was struck by a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox. 

Pittman was taken to Grant Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. 

Police continue to investigate the crash.
