A swarm of police officers, armed with a search warrant, made a surprising discovery Monday after raiding a home on Fairview Avenue in Circleville.
NBC 4’s Tom Sussi learned that several law enforcement agencies, including police departments from both Circleville and Chillicothe, searched the home on New Year’s Eve to investigate allegations of child pornography.
Cops didn’t find any evidence of that, but they did stumble onto evidence of another crime. Circleville Police said they found evidence of stolen property. Lots of stolen property, including cell phones, power tools and guns.
Neighbors told Sussi they saw police confiscate items from a shed behind the family’s home. When Sussi approached the family for a comment, a man inside the home, told him to leave the property.
No criminal charges have been filed, but police said the investigation remains active.
