Police: Body recovered from creek in Newark

NEWARK, Ohio (WCMH) — Newark police officers are investigating after a body was found in Raccoon Creek.

The body was discovered in the creek near 21st Street and State Route 16 Wednesday evening.

According to Newark police, the body appeared to be of a man in his 40s or 50s. There were no apparent injuries to the man.

Police said the body had been there for more than a day.
