COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A teenager has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left one man dead earlier this month.

Just after 9:30pm on March 6, Columbus Police officers responded to the area of East 21st Avenue and Ontario Street on the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found 25-year-old Kyle Haseley suffering from a gunshot wound. Hasley was transported in critical condition to Grant Medical Center, where he died nearly a week later.

Investigators say Hasley was in the area to meet a seller from a social media sales site to make a purchase. Witnesses told officers the suspect took the money from Hasley after the shooting.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, Kyvion Rodney Allen Jacobs, 17, was arrested Tuesday and charged with aggravated murder and aggravated robbery.
