Polar Plunge raises more than $1,600 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio

Dozens of leaders from Springfield and Clark County jumped into icy water Friday at the Champions Park Lake at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Springfield to benefit Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Central Ohio.

Clark County Prosecutor Dan Driscoll along with Assistant Clark County Prosecutors Beau Thompson, John Lintz and Jason Irick, who organized the event, were among the participants.

The event raised more than $1,600.  Last year, participants raised about $2,200, officials said.
