PIKE COUNTY, Ohio (WCMH) — A Pike County woman was re-arrested Tuesday after briefly escaping from custody.
According to the Pike County Sheriff’s Office, Autumn Satterfield, 34, was being booked into the county jail around 4 p.m. Tuesday when she fled from deputies.
The sheriff’s office set up a perimeter near Armbruster Farms, where Satterfield’s jail-issued shoes were found.
A short time later, the sheriff’s office received a 911 call stating that Satterfield was inside the facility using the hot tub, still wearing a yellow inmate jumpsuit. Sheriff Charles S. Reader and interim Waverly Police Chief Dennis Crabtree apprehended her while she was still sitting in the hot tub.
Satterfield was facing charges for possession of heroin, but will now face a felony escape charge, according to the sheriff.
