Pharmacy students step up for community health

Local News

Pharmacy students and current pharmacists headed out to ten locations in Columbus to test people for blood glucose and blood pressure, and to show their passion for the profession.

About 40 OSU College of Pharmacy students were at all 10 libraries in Franklin County today giving free blood pressure and blood glucose tests.

The students held the event in support of SB265 which would allow pharmacists to be full healthcare professionals. They invited their legislators to the libraries, and four Representatives attended.

“All of us are truly so passionate about pharmacy,” said organizer Stephanie Yasechko, who spearheaded the drive with her peers Andrew Myers, Natalie Hagy, and Sheriff Benson.
