Person in life-threatening condition after shooting in Olde Towne East neighborhood

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A man was injured Wednesday evening when shots were fired in the Olde Towne East neighborhood in Columbus.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 9:46pm, a 20-year-old male was driving a vehicle eastbound in the 700 block of E. Main Street when he was struck by gunfire.  

The victim then crashed into a fence and was transported to Grant Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.  

Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to call the CPD Felony Assault Unit at 614-645-4141 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-8477.
