COLUMBUS (WCMH) — As city crews continue their preps, people are getting out to the stores to stock up before the snow hits.

Many throughout central Ohio hit up stores for food items like milk, bread, eggs.  Others went to get shovels and ice melt to keep their driveways clear. Marsha Newkirk said she doesn’t want to make the same mistake twice.

‘The last snow that we had, I was using the electric snow shovel and I got it all nice and clean. I walked back up the driveway and I heard a big boom. The snow all at the bottom of my driveway,” said Newkirk.
