COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A 15-year-old boy is dead after a shooting on the north side of Columbus Tuesday afternoon

According to Columbus Police, officers responded to the 4800 block of Heatherton Drive where they found Dawaun Taylor suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Medics transported the victim to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 3:53 p.m.

Police said immediately after the shooting, a silver Chrysler 300 fled the scene eastbound on Trent Road toward Northtowne Boulevard.
