One person in critical condition, bystander injured after shooting in east Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person is in critical condition and a bystander was injured in a shooting in east Columbus. 

According to dispatchers with the Columbus Division of Police, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of South Ohio Avenue around 9:22 p.m. Sunday on the report of a shooting. When they arrived, officers found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Police say a bystander was also struck by a stray bullet.

The victim was transported to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. The bystander was also taken to the hospital in stable condition. 

Police have not released any information about a possible suspect at this time. No further details were immediately available.
