One man is dead after a motorcycle crash in Perry County.

The crash happened around 1:30am on State Route 13 in New Lexington. According to the Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Michael J. Bennett III, 21, of Malta, was riding a 1980 Suzuki motorcycle east on State Route 37 near Bear Run Road when the bike went off the side of the road for an unknown reason. The motorcycle hit a mailbox and utility pole before coming to a rest off the side of the road on SR-13.
