One killed in South High Street crash

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police in Columbus are investigating a crash that left one person dead.

It happened near the intersection of South High Street and Jenkins Avenue around 7:13pm, Thursday,

According to the Columbud Division of Police, for unknown reasons, a 2011 Chevrolet Impala, driven by Raymond E. Schall, 55, was traveling southbound on S. High Street near Jenkins Avenue, when it traveled left of center, striking a 1999 Jeep Wrangler head on. 

Schall was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.

The driver of the Wrangler was also taken to Grant Medical Center, in stable condition. 

Police continue to investigate the crash
