The home is a total loss according to Truro Township Fire Department.

It took crews quite some time to put out the fire.

“Turned into a defensive fire because it’s in the attic this is an older home so it’s in some confined awkward spaces. We’ve asked the state of Ohio to come in and assist us in investigating,” said Assistant Fire Chief Jeff Sharps of Truro Township Fire Department.

Smoke from the fire briefly impacted to Reynoldsburg schools, causing them to control their ventilation system. The district advised some bus routes were affected.
