A blaze destroyed a home in northwest Columbus and left one person injured Saturday morning.
According to Battalion Chief Steve Martin, public information officer for the Columbus Division of Fire, firefighters were dispatched to the 2100 block of Ripple Road around 8:43am on the report of a fire. When they arrived, they found a single-family home ablaze.
Battalion Chief Martin said the house sustained heavy fire damage and that one person was treated for minor injuries at the scene. The Red Cross is assisting the family displaced by the fire.
