The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious injury crash that occurred at approximately 7:30p.m. Sunday at the intersection of US 62 and SR 665 in Pleasant Township.
Ashley Shunk, 25, of London, was traveling westbound on SR 665 in a Toyota Celica when her vehicle was struck by a Ford Taurus driven by Connie Montoney, 25, of Columbus.
According to accident investigators, Shunk was transported to Grant Medical Center by medics in critical condition.
Montoney did not report any serious injuries.
After the initial crash, the Toyota left the roadway and struck a porch of a house located on the northwest corner of the intersection. According to the sheriff’s office, the damage to the house appeared minor and none of the residents reported any injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
