One dead after southeast Columbus shooting

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — One person is dead following a shooting on the southeast side of Columbus.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 8:29pm, Sunday, officers were called to the 5300 block of Brayton Avenue on the report of a person shot.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the body of a male victim.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and police have not released his identity pending notification of his next of kin.
