One killed in shooting in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — One person is dead following a shooting that happened Monday afternoon in northeast Columbus.

It happened around 1:37 p.m. on Solera Drive in Columbus.

Columbus Police identified the victim as Curtis P. Davis, 41.

Davis was taken to Riverside Hospital in critical condition. He was later pronounced dead.

Police said when they arrived to the location of the shooting, officers found evidence of a shootout at the apartment complex.

No suspect information was released.

This is the 76 homicide in Columbus for 2020.
