Ohio woman makes career out of hooping, tries to set world record

Local News

Rachael Lust is an Ohioan with a gymnastics background who turned a hobby into a full-blown career.

She’s currently trying to take that further by trying to set a world record for most consecutive chin-ups while hooping. She’s a mom, a wife and dubbed the “ninja hooper.”

She’s done several commercials in different countries, national TV appearances, music videos, NBA halftime show and multiple viral videos. She traveled to Brazil 2 years ago to film a commercial for the Olympic Games that were held in Rio. One of Rachael’s goals is for people to see a more athletic approach to hooping and for it to be recognized as a sport.

She is currently traveling across the states and around the country to share her love of hooping and teach others. She’s actually taught thousands of people how to hoop and has even don fire hooping which has left a few scrapes behind.

Rachael’s classes she teaches can be found on rachaellust.bigcartel.com.
