Ohio State Highway Patrol investigating fiery crash in Ross County

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fiery commercial vehicle crash that occurred Sunday afternoon.

On August 12 at approximately 1:46pm, a International ProStar commercial truck driven by Bill Stratford, 44, of McArthur, was traveling southwest on U. S. Route 50, near mile marker 8 in Ross County. The vehicle veered off to the right side of the roadway, struck a sign, overturned and was fully engulfed in flames. 

According to investigators, Stratford was able to exit the vehicle and escaped with minor injuries before the vehicle was fully engulfed. 

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that the crash remains under investigation.
