COLUMBUS (WCMH) – Ohio State has fired wide receivers coach Zach Smith after it was reported that his ex-wife filed for a domestic violence restraining order.
According to Delaware County court records, Smith’s ex-wife filed for the restraining order Friday. A temporary order was granted and a full hearing on the matter will be held on August 3.
Smith was previously charged with criminal trespassing after police say Smith dropped his son off at his ex-wife’s apartment after being told not to come to the apartment. A police report was filed on May 12.
A report Monday from Brett McMurphy details a history of domestic violence allegations against Smith.
