COLUMBUS (WCMH) – The computer network for the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles was down for several hours Wednesday morning.
All across the state, the system was unable to process any licenses, IDs or vehicle registrations. At the license bureau on Alum Creek Drive, some people said they were in line at 8:30am and were still in line at noon.
“They told me they’re down and they don’t know when they’ll be back up. They can’t do anything because the computers are down. So gotta come back or wait,” said Debra McMaster.
By 1pm, the computers were back up and running. BMV officials said it was a network systems issue.
