New Kohl’s distribution center in Licking Co. to bring 600 jobs to Central Ohio

COLUMBUS (WCMH)—Governor John Kasich announced the approval of assistance for 13 projects that will create more than 2,700 jobs statewide.

In central Ohio, three companies are set to create 864 jobs in the Fairfield, Franklin and Licking County areas.

These jobs were made possible by the approval from the Ohio Tax Credit Authority.

Blue Label Packaging Company, City of Lancaster (Fairfield Co.), expects to create 30 full-time positions, generating $1.7 million in new annual payroll and retaining $3.1 million in existing payroll as a result of the company’s expansion project in the City of Lancaster (Fairfield Co.). Blue Label Packaging provides custom labels for a variety of industries. The TCA approved a 1.328 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Candid Care Co., City of Columbus (Franklin Co.), expects to create 150 full-time positions, generating $6 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in the City of Columbus (Franklin Co.). Candid Care is an orthodontic technology company specializing in teeth aligners. The TCA approved a 1.344 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.

Kohl’s Department Stores, Inc., Etna Township (Licking Co.), expects to create 684 full-time positions, generating $22.5 million in new annual payroll as a result of the company’s new project in Etna Township (Licking Co.). Kohl’s is a department store that sells apparel, footwear, accessories, home products and housewares. The TCA approved a 1.542 percent, 12-year Job Creation Tax Credit for this project.
