Motorcyclist dies day after crash in south Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus police have identified the man killed after a motorcycle crash on Lockbourne Road.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 5:12pm, Tuesday, Roger Lee Barnhart, 20, of Pataskala, was driving a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle northbound on Lockbourne Road near Bruckner Road when he lost control of the vehicle.

Police say Barnhart traveled off the roadway, striking several fixed objects and was ejected from the motorcycle. 

Barnhart was taken to Grant Medical Center with life threatening injuries, and was pronounced dead Wednesday.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
