Motorcyclist dead after crash in Franklin Twp. identified

FRANKLIN CO., OH (WCMH) — The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office says one person has died after a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided in Franklin Township Thursday.

According to a press release, the driver of a 2012 Dodge Ram was traveling westbound on Frank Road. The driver was attempting to turn left onto Brown Road and was struck by a 1982 Honda Goldwing motorcycle around 4pm. 

The driver and sole occupant of the motorcycle, 42-year-old Michael Bruce of Columbus, was transported to Mount Carmel West hospital and later pronounced deceased.

The FCSO says Bruce was wearing a helmet and the driver of the Dodge Ram was wearing his seatbelt. The driver of the Ram, who was the sole occupant in the vehicle, did not report any injuries.
