Mostly dry for Clippers’ home opener tonight

Local News

The Columbus Clippers take on the Indianapolis Indians at Huntington Park Thursday evening beginning at 6:05 p.m.

The weather look reasonably good for the game, with temperatures in the mid-50s. A warm front lifting north across the I-70 corridor brought thicker clouds that may thin out in time for the first pitch this evening.

However, later on a few spotty light showers will develop, mostly likely toward the end of the game or on your ride home.

The bulk of the moisture associated with low pressure in the Midwest will arrive after 10 p.m. tonight and linger through Friday morning, until a cold front moves through the region. Showers will end as sprinkles on Friday.

Spring-like conditions will return for the remainder of the weekend baseball series, with evening games Friday and Saturday (6:05 p.m.), followed by a day game on Sunday (2:05 p.m.).
